
Great TV, nice featuers but my build in DVD player died….As with all TV’s with built in DVD players they just die and now I have a useless DVD player which is out of warranty of course.
We bought this monitor to replace a 4 year old Toshiba 37 "LCD panel for your home cinema set-up. With a room 7m x 4m, where we sit around 4-5m away from the screen, 7.1 we set-up with large floor standing speakers, subwoofers, etc., so a really big screen was preferred. A projection screen was excluded because we toshiba 37 inch lcd hdtv could not live with the black-out required to view the content during the day so we studied the LCD, LED and plasma screens from 50 "up. After trawling the market for a week or so, we opted for this screen Samsung - have found reviews for it, so this posting to Amazon to help all other potential buyers. Beware: it is huge, being some 1.3 m wide and 0.9 on the stand (which is pre-fitted to the model 55). The box it comes in 1.4 x 1m W x 0.4m H D. After unpacking, set-up was easy - we simply disconnect the source from the old screen, and connected them to the Samsung.
