We’ve been using this TV since June 2008! No problems – however, we don’t really use the TV speakers so I can’t really comment too much on them but before I had the theater system hooked up it sounded fine – one thing from the sound that I really miss was the TV’s sound processers ability to mediate the volume transitions from programs to commercials concerning broadcast TV.We have a DVD player, Wii, Roku (Netflix), TV antenna, and a VCR all hooked up via a HiDef Stereo receiver. Help Again!: I have a JVC TV and COX cable. On non-HD channels it doesnt fill up the screen...?
My tv is an older hdtv set and has 4:3 ratio screen. When I turn to an hd channel it automatically switches to jvc 37 hdtv reviews 16:9 which is perfect. But on non-hd channels it displays in a 4:3 ratio but it wastes a 3" black "frame" around what's being displayed. In essence, this is turning my 37" tv into a 31" on non-hd channels.The solution has nothing to do with zooming or stretching or changing the aspect ratio. None of that helpsHow do I change this so it uses the entire TV on non-hd channels. It worked fine at my old house....
